But one thing I think we can agree on is that things are not going to be the same as they were before this recession. First, companies are going to be much more selective about what they invest in, and second, it is likely  to continue to be a smaller pool of companies willing to invest. This makes marketing to your current customers even more important than before. If you are not keeping you name in front of your customers, somebody is.</p>
<p>Even when things improve, your current customers are your best source for new business. Many companies in the past could grow their business by constantly looking for new customers. They would simply pressure the leads they had and the ones that didn’t close.</p>
